About Matilda

Matilda builds the operational tools a school runs on. Behavior referrals, classroom walkthroughs, attendance follow-up, scheduling, and the paperwork underneath all of it. You describe what you need and Matilda builds it. It runs on your school’s own data, under your school’s own permissions.

We started the other way round. Before building anything, we embedded with school teams and did the operational work ourselves. The spreadsheets, the exports, the follow-up nobody had hours for. The form was never the problem. Every school had already built one. What none of them had was a read across the pile it produced.

That is what Matilda is now. Matilda starts at one school, with one workflow. It needs no SIS connection and no purchase order to be useful on the first afternoon. See what we mean.

Who we are

Our team has spent the last decade in K-12 education technology and in building software. That runs from analytics and operations inside education companies to engineering leadership at large consumer platforms.

That is why we started with the operational work instead of a product. We would rather learn how a school actually runs before deciding what it needs.
